In May of 2009 I completed my 200-hour training certification from the Rasa School of Yoga in Montezuma, Costa Rica. My teaching style draws elements from Hatha breath work, the physical demands of Ashtanga and the dynamic flow of Vinyasa, focusing on breath, alignment, and meditation. My classes combine gentle encouragement and an energizing pace; aiming to leave the student feeling enlivened and relaxed.
As a teacher, I understand the importance of staying educated, and will always consider myself, above all else, a student.

/ December 1, 2011Cynthia’s class was challenging for me but she is a great teacher in that she doesn’t PRESSURE the student to challenge themselves. She has a very mellow, encouraging vibe that made me want to push myself just a little more.

/ December 1, 2011Cynthia combines pranayama exercise with asanas, which makes the practice more complete for me. She explains the exercises good and in nice flow.

/ December 1, 2011Cynthia is amazing! I really like the sequences she teaches. Her adjustments are great, too. I also like Sara’s class – super challenging! And Leona, of course! Though sometimes I wish her class was more challenging. I’m going to miss her while she is away.
I wish you had more early evening classes…on the days I work, 7:30 and 8pm classes are just too late.

/ December 1, 2011If Cynthia is on the schedule i do my best to attend.
Her class pace and guidance of breath is great for me and her physical adjustments have helped me to understand what to adjust to receive poses more fully. I get to practice arm balances and power poses which i love.I feel as though she is great at remembering individuals’ progress.
